In Loving Memory . . . .

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there, I did not die.

Please keep in your thoughts and prayers the classmates we have lost

Some words and thoughts from Rob's mother, Mrs. Patti Hillard:

Robbie was a kind and gentle soul. Following high school Robbie grew to be a simple man with an acute appreciation for good music, fine literature, folklore, history, poetry, writing and nature. He spent much of his time reading, and writing.  His daily journals speak volumes of his fondness for friends, family, outdoor adventures and his faithful companion, his dog, Katie Mae.  In one of his journal entries he writes, “Life is a beautiful place – it is important to believe in God, family, friends, tall tress, good music and love, most of all love.”  He continues with advice to “love, live, and laugh often; face your enemies with compassion and live your life with zest.”  He loved adventure and climbing higher then he was really comfortable, trees, rocks and mountains.  Although he really enjoyed complex literature, he continued to treasure favorite books from childhood in “The Cat in the Hat” and “The Giving Tree.” Perhaps, one day you will read these books to your children, and in doing so remember a friend whose time past to quickly.

Rob was most comfortable when surrounded by “tall trees” and he devoted his final days caring for the woods, the wild and the trees as a Centre Region Arborist.
