position to begin with the 2009-2010 school year. The
position requires dual certification in Special
Education and English or Special Education and Math
(including mid-level).

Long-Term Position Interpreter Position
Bellefonte Area School District seeks an individual to
fulfill the duties of an interpreter for a student with
speech and language deficits (not hearing impaired). The
individual would be responsible for Interpreting signed
language into spoken language for the student, as well
as developing language skills. In addition, the ideal
candidate will possess qualities of high energy and
adequate physical stamina to implement their role in
this students individual education program.
The successful candidate should be proficient in sign
language and possess one of the following quality
assurances from RID, EIPA and/or a related degree.
Compensation to be determined by experience and
appropriate credentials. Individual must submit a cover

Position:
CLASSROOM PARAEDUCATOR/CAFETERIA
POINT OF SALE
Duties: To provide
academic support to students under the direction of a
classroom teacher; and, to assist with cafeteria sales.
Qualifications:
Academic: Minimum Two
years or equivalent post secondary
academic training (Associates or Bachelors Degree; or,
48 college credits).
Experience:
Preferred Experience in working with students in
public education. Experience working
with cash registers or computer systems.
Other Skills: Mathematical
Ability to add, subtract, two digit numbers and to
multiply and divide with 10s and 100s.
Effective communication skills.
Work Day:
9:00 a.m. through 12:30 p.m.
Work Year: 180 days

Substitute Openings
Substitute School Crossing Guards The
Borough of Bellefonte is seeking individuals to serve as substitute
school crossing guards to fill in when a regular crossing guard is
unable to work. Crossing guards are responsible for maintaining
safety at assigned intersections. This position works split shifts,
and may perform job duties in inclement weather. This position only
works when school is in session. Successful candidates will be
required to obtain Criminal Background and Child Abuse History
clearances. Rate of pay is $10.28/shift. Application forms may be
